Student Summer Positions  (the online application is no longer available)

We are no longer hiring for Student Summer Positions

Application Process:

  1. Review the Minimum Requirements, Period of Employment, Timeline, and Position Descriptions.
  2. Fill out all Applicant Information, Employment Preferences, and Short Answer Questions on the online Application (coming soon!).
  3. Select 2 references to complete the Recommendation Form (2 pages) on your behalf. (Current RAs do not need to submit recommendations. Students who applied to be Fall RAs do not need to submit recommendations; your RA recommendations will be used.) Your references should be Mason faculty/staff or previous supervisors/advisors who can respond to your work habits, roles of responsibility, or leadership experience. One of your references may be your RA, Resident Director, or Area Coordinator. Complete only the top part of each form yourself before you give it to your reference. Each Reference should place his/her Recommendation Form in a sealed envelope, sign across the seal, and send it directly to the address provided on the Recommendation.  All Recommendations must be received before an applicant can be selected.
  4. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.  The sooner you submit your application, the better chance you have of obtaining a CA position.
  5. All candidates will be evaluated on the quality of the information provided in the application, past job performance, and interview.  Written notification to all candidates will be given by the close of the selection process.
  6. Contact Sheri Weathers, 703-993-2720 or sweathe2@gmu.edu  or Tiffany Menard, tmenard@gmu.edu for further information or questions regarding the selection process.
