Technical Service Assistant
The Technical Service Assistant is responsible for assisting the Housing Information Technology Team. The primary responsibilities of this position include assisting in the management and design of the Housing website and contributing to other new and ongoing projects. Other responsibilities include providing technical support to the Office of Housing and Residence Life staff.
Supervisor: Assistant Manager of Information Technology
Desired Qualifications: This position requires troubleshooting skills and the willingness to learn technical skills on the job. Knowledge of HTML, Flash, ActionScript, JavaScript, and ASP is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Develops functions and designs for the Office of Housing and Residence Life internal, external, and affiliated websites
- Assists with the management of the main Housing and Residence Life website
- Assists with graphic design for projects including web and print
- Assists with other design/web-based projects as needed
- Assists with other IT projects including hardware/software installs, response to requests for assistance from Housing and Residence Life staff, general troubleshooting, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
