FAQProhibited Items

QWhat items are prohibited in the residence halls?

   A-Drug-related paraphernalia (e.g. bong, pipe, hookah)
-Firearms, fireworks, explosives, weapons
-Fuels or other combustible items
-Incense, candles, oil-lamps- lit or unlit
-Cinder blocks
-Electrical appliances with an exposed heating element
-Resident owned air conditioners
-Live trees
-Pets, except fish in tanks smaller than 10 gallons
-Halogen Lamps
-Outside antennas and satellite dishes
-Water propelling devices
-Water beds
-Unauthorized inflatable pools and slip n’ slides
-Refrigerators greater than 118 volts, 60 Hz, and do not draw more than 1.5 amps or 180 watts
-All cooking appliances are prohibited in rooms/units without a kitchen (DUCC, Patriots Village, and Presidents Park)
-Wireless access points, per University Policy 1302

The following items ARE permitted:
-Computers/laptops
-Curling irons
-Electric razors
-Fans
-Holiday lights
-Portable hair dryers
-Microwave ovens
