Who are we?
All students who live in residence halls are members of the RSA. Student representatives plan events, enhance residence hall living, and learn about current issues on campus. RSA focuses on developing leaders through academic initiatives, programming activities, campus spirit, and recognition. Activities are designed by RSA which are fun and promote community fellowship between the students. Involvement in RSA is an exciting opportunity to make a positive, long lasting impression on each student.
How can you get involved?
- Get involved in your RSA by running for an Executive Board position, or being selected as an Area Representative!
- Click here for more information about Executive Board elections: Resident Student Association - Filing for Candidacy
- Elections will also be held in September 2008 for Area Liason and Representative positions!
Leadership Opportunites:
The RSA at Mason is an organization on campus that discusses various needs of residential students and is active in making sure residential students' needs are met. In addition, RSA is a way for students to meet leaders from other areas of campus. It is also a way for students to become actively involved in the campus residential community, develop leadership skills, and plan activities and events for students.
Conference Attendance:
RSA members serve as an advisory council regarding issues affecting campus residents. RSA participates in the National Association of College and Residence Halls, Inc (NACURH), the South Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (SAACURH), and the Virginia Association of Residence Halls (VACURH). All resident students, especially those actively involved in RSA, are invited to apply to attend conferences sponsored by these organizations. Contact your RSA representative for information about dates and applications.
