2009 MOVE-IN INFORMATION: PRESIDENTS PARK

Presidents Park Halls: Adams, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Kennedy, Lincoln, Madison, Monroe, Roosevelt, Truman, Washington, Wilson

8:30 AM - 3:00 PM on Thursday (8/27)*
8:30 AM - 3:00 PM on Friday (8/28)*
CHECK-IN PARKING: Sandy Creek Parking Deck
CHECK-IN LOCATION:  Dewberry Hall, ground floor of the Johnson Center
UNLOADING AREA: Presidents Park lawn & fire lanes
POST-UNLOADING PARKING: Lot A, Lot C, or West Campus Lot
 
 
REGULAR HOURS DIRECTIONS 
 
STEP 1: BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME
Fill out your key card online at https://housing.gmu.edu/eliving/.
Print the Presidents Park Check-In Map and take it with you.
 
STEP 2: ARRIVE ON CAMPUS
Enter campus from Braddock Road (Rt. 620) onto Roanoke River Road.
Bear right onto Patriot Circle.
Turn left on Sandy Creek Way.
Turn left into the Sandy Creek Parking Deck, as directed by staff.
Park on floors 2-5 of the deck.
 
STEP 3: CHECK-IN
Follow the walking path to Dewberry Hall on the ground floor of the Johnson Center.
You may not check-in until your scheduled day & time. 
Present your Mason ID to receive keys and an unloading pass for your vehicle.
Return to your car.
Before leaving the parking deck, fill out your unloading pass and place it on your driver’s side dashboard, so that it is clearly visible from outside your vehicle  
 
STEP 4: VEHICLE STAGING FOR UNLOADING
Exit the parking deck from the 2nd or 3rd floor (the way you came in).
Turn left on Patriot Circle.
Turn right on Shenandoah River Lane.
Turn right into the metered parking area by Washington Hall.
Present your unloading pass to housing staff who will enter your unloading times and direct you to a space near your building.
Vehicles without the correct unloading pass will NOT be permitted to enter.
Keep your unloading pass on your dashboard the entire time you are in the Park.
DO NOT BLOCK OTHER CARS FROM DRIVING THROUGH PRESIDENTS PARK. 
 
STEP 5: UNLOADING IN PRESIDENTS PARK
Unload your car in 30 MINUTES or less. The unloading time will be strictly enforced. 
Staff may attempt to contact you at the cell phone number you enter on your unloading pass should your vehicle need to be moved.
Upperclass student volunteers are available to assist with moving your belongings.
Do not start to unpack!  Return to your vehicle and follow staff directions and signs to exit Presidents Park. 
Turn left on Patriot Circle.
Turn left at Nottoway River Lane. 
Turn left into Lot C or right into Lot A. No decal is required 8/27 - 8/30 in Lot A or Lot C.
Freshmen with West Campus parking decals should move their cars to the West Campus Lot on Sunday, 8/30. 
Shuttle service from West Campus Lot begins 8/30 at 2 PM and continues until 1 AM. 
 
  
CHECK-IN CLOSED
Check-in will close 8/27 and 8/28 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Students will NOT be able to pick up room keys during these times.

5:00 PM—10 PM on Thursday (8/27)
5:00 PM—10 PM on Friday (8/28)
9 AM—8 PM on Saturday (8/29)
9 AM—5 PM on Sunday (8/30)
CHECK-IN PARKING:
Sandy Creek Parking Deck: Floors 2-5 on 8/27 or 8/28 (7 AM - 10 PM).
Sandy Creek Parking Deck: Visitors Area of Floor 1 on 8/29 (8 AM - 9 PM)
or 8/30 ( 8 AM - 5 PM).
CHECK-IN LOCATION:
Eisenhower Hall in Presidents Park
Present your Mason Student ID to check in and receive an unloading pass.
UNLOADING AREAS:
Option 1: Metered lot off Shenandoah by Washington Hall.
30 minutes unloading pass required. You do not need to feed the meter.
Option 2: 20-minute unloading spaces off Presidents Park Drive.
Your flashers must be on. 30 minute unloading pass required.
POST-UNLOADING PARKING: Lot A, Lot C, or West Campus Lot

Permit enforcement begins 8/31.
