STEP 1: BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME
Fill out your key card online at https://housing.gmu.edu/eliving/

Print the Chespeake Freshmen Check-In Map.

 

Enter campus from Braddock Road (Rt. 620) onto Roanoke River Road.
Bear right onto Patriot Circle.
Turn left on Sandy Creek Way.
Turn left into the Sandy Creek Parking Deck
Park on floors 2-5 of the deck.

 

Follow the walking path to Dewberry Hall on the ground floor of the Johnson Center.

You may not check-in until your scheduled date & time.
Present your Mason ID to receive keys and an unloading pass for your vehicle.
Return to your vehicle.
Fill out your unloading pass and place it on the driver’s side dashboard before leaving the parking deck.

 

STEP 4: MOVE VEHICLE TO UNLOADING AREA
Exit the parking deck from the 2nd or 3rd floor (the way you came in).
Turn left on Patriot Circle.
Turn left onto Rivanna River Lane. (Vehicles heading to Presidents Park will be turning right. Do not follow them; keep straight until Rivanna!)
Present your unloading pass to housing staff who will enter unloading times and direct you into a space by Commonwealth.

Vehicles without the correct unloading pass will not be permitted to enter.

Your unloading pass must stay on your dashboard the entire time you are on the lawn.

DO NOT BLOCK OTHER CARS FROM DRIVING THROUGH.

 

STEP 5: UNLOADING
Unload all of your belongings immediately. Upperclass student volunteers will be available to help you carry your things to your room.
Residents should stay with their belongings, and drivers should immediately return to the vehicle and continue following staff directions to the Rappahannock Parking Deck.

Pedestrians should follow signs back to the Chesapeake area.

 

 

Check-In will close from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM on 8/27 and  8/28.

Students will NOT be able to pick up room keys at this time.

 

*You will NOT be able to check-in before your scheduled day & time.

*You will not be able to drive right up to your building if you arrive after hours.

* Chesapeake freshmen checking in on Saturday or Sunday should follow Chesapeake upperclass Instructions.

Lots A, C, K	8/27 - 8/30	Open. Permit enforcement begins 8/31.
West Campus Lot	8/27 - 8/30	Open. Permit enforcement begins 8/31. West Campus Shuttle Service begins 8/30, 2 PM - 1 AM.
