Please note that some roads on campus changed names this summer.  The road between the Students Apartments and SUB 1 is not called Aquia Creek Lane.

 

STEP 1: BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME
Fill out your key card online at https://housing.gmu.edu/eliving/

 

STEP 2: ARRIVE ON CAMPUS
Enter from Braddock Road onto Roanoke River Road.
Turn left on Patriot Circle and right onto Mason Pond Drive.
Park in the Mason Pond Deck and take a ticket upon entry.

(The unloading pass you receive at check-in will allow you 2 hours of free parking in the deck.)

*Aquia CreekLane will only be open for traffic exiting Mason Pond Deck on Saturday from 8 AM—4:30 PM; vehicles may only enter Mason Pond Deck from Mason Pond Dr.

 

STEP 3: CHECK-IN
Walk to Dewberry Hall, located on the ground floor of Johnson Center. 
Present a current photo ID to receive keys and an unloading pass for your vehicle.

Residents will not be permitted to check in before their scheduled check-in date and time

 

STEP 4a: UNLOADING FOR APARTMENTS 7, 8, and 9 
Return to your car.

Unload from the 3rd level of the Mason Pond Deck in you live in Apartment 7, 8, or 9.

You have 2 free hours in the Deck from the time stamped on your parking ticket.

After unloading, exit the deck from the 1st floor (the way you came in) onto Mason Pond Drive.

You will need to hand your parking ticket and your housing pass to an attendant.

Park in a general lot (A, C, O, P, M, K), which are not ticketed until 8/31, or in a lot for which you have a valid permit.

 

Return to your vehicle.

Fill out your unloading pass and place it on your dashboard if you live in Apartment 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6.

Exit the deck from the 3rd floor onto Aquia Creek lane. You will need to hand your parking ticket and deck unloading pass to the parking attendant. 

Keep your George Mason Drive unloading pass on your dashboard.

Vehicles without the correct move-in pass will NOT be permitted to enter Aquia Creek Lane.
Parallel park on the left side of the road or in one of the spaces available along George Mason Blvd.

Do not block the sidewalks or the road! Traffic is only one direction on Saturday - away from the deck.

You have 30 minutes to unload.

After unloading, exit Aquia Creek Lane onto Patriot Circle and park in a general lot (A, C, O, P, M, K), which are not ticketed until 8/31, or in a lot for which you have a valid permit.

 

Check-In will close 4 PM - 6 PM on Saturday (8/29).

Students will NOT be able to pick up room keys during this time.
