2009 MOVE-IN INFORMATION: YORK RIVER CORNER

Potomac Heights & Liberty Square

DATES/TIMES:*
9 AM - 4 PM on Saturday (8/29)*
CHECK-IN PARKING: Lot R
CHECK-IN LOCATION:
Potomac Heights (PH) residents: PH multi-purpose room on floor 1
Liberty Square (LS) residents: LS Desk on floor 1
UNLOADING AREA: Lot R with valid permit or unloading pass
POST-UNLOADING PARKING: Lot M, O, P, K, A, C or a Lot for which you have a valid permit

 
REGULAR HOURS DIRECTIONS
 
STEP 1: BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME
Fill out your key card online at https://housing.gmu.edu/eliving/.
Print the York River Corner Check-In Map.
 
STEP 2: ARRIVE ON CAMPUS
Enter campus from Braddock Road onto Roanoke River Road.
Turn right on Patriot Circle.
Turn right on York River Road.
From 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM, the Lot R gate will be up.  No parking decal or unloading pass is required in Lot R from 8:30 AM - 10 AM. After 10, vehicles in Lot R must have a valid Lot R permit or a valid Lot R unloading pass.
From 9:30 AM - 4 PM, residents will be issued a 45-minute unloading pass upon entrance to Lot R.
 
STEP 3: CHECK-IN
Liberty Square residents should go to the Liberty Square Lobby to check in.
Potomac Heights Residents should go to the Potomac Heights Multi-Purpose Room to check in.
Present your Mason ID to check-in. 
Residents will not be permitted to check in before their scheduled time.
 
STEP 4: UNLOADING IN YORK
You have 45 minutes to unload your vehicle if you do not have a valid Lot R decal.
The 45-minute unloading time will be strictly enforced. Once your vehicle is unloaded, do not start to unpack.
Vehicles with Lot R decals should move to the back of Lot R.
Any vehicle without a Lot R decal move after the 45-minute unloading time has expired. 
Vehicles may park for free in the Visitors Area on the 1st floor of the Sandy Creek Parking Deck until 8 PM on 8/29. (Take a right on Patriot Circle and a left onto Sandy Creek Way.) 


CLOSED HOURS
Regular check-in will close from 4:00 PM  - 6:00 PM on Saturday.
Students will NOT be able to pick up room keys between 4 PM and 6 PM on 8/29.
 
 
AFTER HOURS CHECK-IN

6 PM - 9 PM on Saturday (8/29)
9 AM - 9 PM on Sunday (8/30)
CHECK-IN PARKING:
Lot R if you have a Lot R permit
20-minute space with flashers on if you do not have a permit
CHECK-IN LOCATION:
Potomac Heights Area Desk
Present your Mason ID to check in and receive an unloading pass.
UNLOADING AREA: Lot R with valid Lot R permit or unloading pass
POST-UNLOADING PARKING:
Lot R with valid Lot R permit only
Lot M, O, P, K, A, or C (no permit required 8/29-8/30)
Sandy Creek parking Desk Visitors Area (free 8/29 until 8 PM and 8/30 8 AM - 5 PM)
