Extended Stay is available in the spring semester only for:

  • graduating seniors
  • residents participating in graduation, and
  • students remaining on campus for summer school/intern housing.

Dates, fees, and guidelines

  • All residents with approved extended stay must be moved-out and check-out of the halls by 6pm on Saturday, May 16, 2015- no exceptions (except for summer school/intern residents). 
  • Extended stay may incur a fee of $24.50 per night charged to the student account.
  • Please make your travel plans accordingly because the halls MUST be vacated by 6pm on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the absolute latest. Please follow all move-out instructions.
  • Summer school/intern housing residents will receive further instruction on the transition from their spring housing to their summer housing, and must be available and on-campus on Sunday, May 18. Summer school housing information is available at housing.gmu.edu/summer.
  • There is no extended stay available in the fall semester.

Note: Requests for extended stay will be available on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.  Please allow up to 5 business days for each request to be reviewed.  You will be notified of your approval or denial by email.
