Campus Support Resources

Support Resources on Campus

There are numerous on-campus resources available to help you thrive as a student during your time at Mason. The following are a few of the resources our students use most often during their stay on-campus. For more resources, please click here

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling and Psychological Services will work collaboratively with you to identify actions you can take to deal with personal, interpersonal, and academic concerns. If we aren't the best fit, we can find more appropriate resources either on Mason’s campus or in the Fairfax community. CAPS’ work with students is confidential, with some legal and ethical exceptions. Services are free and are not part of your academic record. For more information, call 703-993-2380.

Student Health Services (SHS)

Student Health Services is available to all Mason students, with clinics at Fairfax, Arlington, and Science and Technology campuses. There is no charge to be seen by one of our healthcare providers, but there are fees for lab tests, medications, procedures, physicals, supplies, and some office visits. Your health care is confidential and protected by HIPAA. For more information, call: 703-993-2831 (Fairfax Campus); 703-993-4863 (Arlington Campus); and 703-993-8374 (Science and Technology Campus).

Learning Services (LS)

Learning Services provides Mason students with one-on-one academic support. By reaching out to LS students gain access to peer academic coaching, academic success workshops, and online resources. Students can schedule an appointment with a peer academic coach online or stop by our office in SUB I, Suite 3129

Dining and Meal Plans

Most on-campus residents are required to select a meal plan. Students living in apartment-style homes or in Townhouses are not required to buy one but often choose to have a voluntary meal plan. If you're sick, you can also have a pre-packed meal delivered to your room. For more information about dining options, call 703-993-3313.
