The First-Year Honors College RLC provide students with the opportunity to:
- Live and study with their peers in a close-knit community.
- Explore their passions and develop new interests by participating in various activities and off-campus trips.
- Connect with faculty, staff, and alumni at formal and social events.
Note: First-Year Honors students are not eligible to participate in the First-Year College of Engineering and Computing RLC. Email masonrlc@gmu.edu if you have any questions.

Required Fall Course
- HNRS 111: Honors College Colloquium
- Colloquium sessions are mini-lectures, discussions, workshops, and/or community building style events. Your successful completion of this course will also be taken into consideration if you decide to apply to the Honors Upper-Level RLC.
Required Spring Engagement
- Freshman February: Participate in a series of events during the month of February.
- Complete at least one hour of community service on or off campus
