As a graduate student, you're looking for housing that offers independent living while also providing access to the student community. You can find that at Mason, at either Fairfax or Science and Technology campuses. 

Townhouse building A, Fairfax Campus

Townhouse building A is now open for graduate housing.  Each unit will have two large, newly furnished single bedrooms, each bedroom accommodating one graduate student. Check out the floor plans.

The townhouses include a living/dining room, full-size kitchen, two full bathrooms, small patio/porch, washer and dryer, and full furnishings.

Cable and wireless internet are provided as part of the room rent.

Pricing Information

Rates for graduate housing in Twonhouses are from August through June. The agreement is for a full academic year. Payments will be split in half for each semester. All bedrooms are single occupancy.

Beacon Hall, Science and Technology Campus

Beacon Hall offers graduate and doctoral students a selection of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bed/two bath apartments. Each is fully furnished with full kitchens with a dishwasher, as well as individual washers and dryers. Rates include all utilities, cable TV, local telephone service and Internet. The on-campus location provides a convenient walk to class on the Science and Technology Campus in Prince William and access to all campus facilities, including the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center. Students who have classes on the Fairfax Campus can get there on a free shuttle, available for all Mason students. The closest shuttle stop is located across the street from Beacon Hall at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.

Housing in Beacon Hall is available for students 21 and older, on a case by case basis. You must already be fully admitted/accepted to a Mason masters or doctoral program to get a Mason email adress and G number, which are required to complete the application. Access the application through MyHousing.

If you've started an application , or think you might already be registered in the Mason Housing database, log into MyHousing with your Mason email ID and password to review your information.

Beacon Hall residents must renew their assignments by March to stay in their current locations for the following year. We accept applications on a rolling basis, and accommodate students as space becomes available. Once your application has been completed and your $299 deposit is paid, you can login to MyHousing to view your housing assignment and roommate information (if applicable).
