Paying to Mark Your Place
The housing deposit of $300 is non-refundable and is due by February 2, 2018 at 4:00pm.
Deposit requirements and instructions vary across different housing application processes, so check a specific housing application for specific instructions. Don't submit a deposit unless you are instructed to do so. The payment will not show up on your student account until it is credited to your account during the fall semester or at the time of housing cancellation, whichever comes first
Deposits can only be made by credit/debit card or e-check. We strongly encourage the credit/debit card option. To make the deposit, use your eLiving or MyHousing accounts. No space will be assigned until the deposit is received. Students who do not submit a housing deposit, will be removed from the Housing Selection Process.
During Housing selection, students seeking a deposit waiver will:
- Submit the online request
- Be required to submit paper documentation with his/her FAFSA Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) score.
Deposit waivers are only available for students with an EFC score of $1500 or less. No deposit extensions will be offered. Students will be approved for a waiver or required to pay the $300 deposit.
If no waiver is approved or deposit paid, a selected bed space will be cancelled. Only the bed space for the unpaid deposit will be cancelled.
All other students, with paid deposits or approved waivers within the apartment/suite/room will remain assigned.
