Graduate Student Housing

Apply

The Graduate Student Housing Application for academic year 2023-2024 will be available mid-April in our Housing Portal.

Beacon Hall residents must renew their assignments in March to stay in their current locations for the following year. We accept applications on a rolling basis and accommodate students as space becomes available. Once your application has been completed and your $300 deposit is paid, you can log in to the Housing Portal to view your housing assignment and roommate information (if applicable). For more information, call 703-993-2720 or email housing@gmu.edu.

Beacon Hall

Beacon Hall is located on the Science and Technology Campus and serves as the primary housing location for graduate students.

Beacon Hall offers graduate and doctoral students a selection of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bed/two bath apartments. Each is fully furnished with full kitchens with a dishwasher, as well as individual washers and dryers. Rates include all utilities, cable TV, local telephone service and Internet. All Beacon residents must be enrolled in a graduate level program. At this time Housing and Residence Life does not offer on-campus housing for families.

The on-campus location provides a convenient walk to class on the Science and Technology Campus in Prince William and access to all campus facilities, including the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center. Students who have classes on the Fairfax Campus can get there on a free shuttle, available for all Mason students. The closest shuttle stop is located across the street from Beacon Hall at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.

To reside at Beacon Hall you must already be fully admitted/accepted to a Mason masters or doctoral program to get a Mason email adress and G number, which are required to complete the application. Access the application through StarRez.

If you've started an application , or think you might already be registered in the Mason Housing database, log into StarRez with your Mason NetID and password to review your information.
