George Mason University's residence halls offer convenient laundry facilities for residential students.

Use the Speed Queen mobile app to check machine availability, start laundry cycles, receive notifications, and manage your laundry from anywhere.

Useful Resources

Most residence halls have laundry rooms on each floor. Use the Speed Queen mobile app to activate washers and dryers.

Laundry access is included in student housing fees. No need to use coins/cash. You have a $125 laundry allowance through the Speed Queen App.

SpeedQueen App Setup Guide

1. SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT

Register your Speed Queen account using your official @gmu.edu email address.

2. ADD LOCATION

Enter the school code GMU002

3. FIND YOUR BUILDING

Choose your building and laundry room. See available machines in any room on campus.

4. CONNECT GEORGE MASON ACCOUNT

Go to the Settings button, choose Connect George Mason Account, and follow the prompts to enter your Mason credentials.*

5. LAUNDRY BALANCE

Confirm your $125 student allowance appears as your 'George Mason Balance'.

6. PAY & START

Select an available machine and pay with your George Mason account to begin.

Don't See Your Mason Account in the app?

Then go back to the George Mason University location screen, re-enter your building, and then open Settings.

Having Trouble Using a Washer or Dryer?

Do not submit a work order for usage issues. Help is available through the QR code on the machine.

Step 1: Scan the QR Code on the Laundry Machine OR call toll-free phone number

Step 2: Follow the instructions when you scan the QR code

The system will track the machine's location, and a technician will come to resolve your issue straight away! It’s more reliable. DO NOT submit a work order!
