Be Near D.C. Without Paying D.C. Prices

The D.C. area is hopping when it comes to summer internships, and if you're from out of town, finding a short-term place to stay can be tricky. Mason's residence halls can solve your problem and ease your mind.

Liberty Hall dorm

In addition to a comfortable living space, our residence halls feature a nice stretch of green space for outdoor activities.

Whether you're a student looking for a place to sleep or a business that needs to house a group of summer staff, we can provide quality accommodations in state-of-the-art facilities that are affordable, safe, and comfortable.

Our campus community is also provides shuttle service to the Metro, which provides access to workplaces in downtown D.C., and across Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland.

Living Accommodations

Interns live in an apartment-style residence hall, with four or six people per apartment. Interns may be in a private or shared bedroom, while sharing a bathroom, kitchen, and living room. You can make suite-mate requests on your application, although we can't guarantee those requests will be met (but we'll give it our best effort).

What You'll Get:

  • Furnished Bedroom, either private or shared
  • Air-conditioned living spaces
  • Full kitchen
  • Bath with shower (shared by up to four roommates)
  • Furnished living room
  • 24-hour front-desk staffing

  • Access to laundry facilities within the residence hall

An Affordable Price for the Area

We have single and double occupancy bedrooms available within a 4 or 6 person shared apartment. Intern housing is $266 per week, per person for a single occupancy bedroom within an apartment ($38 per night), with a four-week minimum stay required. Housing is $210 per week, per person for a double occupancy bedroom within an apartment ($30 per night).  You'll need to pay a non-refundable deposit of $275, which will be applied towards the total cost, to reserve a space. Single occupancy bedrooms are not guaranteed and are in limited quantity. All apartments are shared with 3 or 5 other interns.

A four week minimum stay is required.  Intern housing is available from Sunday, May 28th at 12 noon through Saturday, August 12th at 12 noon.  These dates and times are non-negotiable.

Once a room assignment is made, you'll be notified of the total balance due, which must be paid in full before you get here. We recommend that balances be paid at least seven days in advance to ensure a smooth arrival.
